Volunteer
We always have volunteer options for folks who want to help their neighbors:
Food Pantry:
Tuesday and Thursday from 12-2: help folks who come for food pick out their supply. Remove refuse and clean as necessary
Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and others times depending on schedule: Pick Up and/or Receiving: accept the donated food from the various organizations who supply the food pantry and account for everything received. Stock shelves. Remove refuse and clean as necessary
Schoharie Christian Education after-school
We have a dedicated staff let by the program Director, Joann, who work together to provide safe and appropriate Christian Education in a supportive environment. We have homework time and play time, as well as craft and service projects thematic to the church and calendar year. Volunteers assist the efforts of the staff.
Schoharie Christian Summer Day-Camp
Every summer 150 elementary school age kids, plus nearly 100 counselors (older teens through adult age) and counselors-in-training (middle-school age), and staff gather for a week of learning about the gospel message and faith. This effort works because of the volunteers who help out as counselors, nurses, snack coordinators, musicians, and many other roles.
